Green Dragon is the trade name of a new, environmentally-friendly fuel that is grown and made in Nottinghamshire by a pioneering team of local farmers. It is smoke free and is a completely sustainable alternative to wood or fossil fuels.

It is available in pellets, nuggets and briquettes, made entirely from the husks from which the oil has been extracted from British rapeseed crops. Nothing is added and nothing is taken away.

Green Dragon sell their products by the pallet load for heating homes and businesses, but it is probably the 10kg bags of nuggets that will be of most interest to campers. They give off twice the heat of wood and their smokeless properties make them ideal for outdoor barbecues. They also burn out almost completely, leaving only a fine residue that is easy to clean away.
