Here’s how we make Green Dragon in a completely environmentally friendly way. When the oilseed has been harvested, they are gently pressed at room temperature to take the oil out. This leaves about two thirds of each seed in the form of an oily husk, which can then be used to make Green Dragon Farm Grown Fuel.
To make briquettes the husk is pressed into shape by a specially designed Green Dragon press and cut to the right length. The nuggets are made by a similar process but the pieces are sliced a bit finer than the briquettes. The pellets are made by feeding the husk into a small press, where it is first pushed into small tubes and then cut to lengths between 10mm and 20mm. Large, medium, small. And all the same wonderful warmth.
