Green Dragon Farm Grown Fuel is the result of the vision and passion of a group of British Farmers. They are dedicated to producing a sustainable, affordable and wonderfully warming alternative to wood and coal.

Green Dragon’s journey began in the minds of farmers and friends Jon and Colin. Already working with LEAF to raise environmental standards, their idea was to use one of their crops as fuel for their farm machinary. The crop Jon and Colin chose was rapeseed. The reason was simple. While their rapeseed would ordinarily be sent away to be mixed with other oils to make vegetable oil, Jon and Colin recognised this was wasteful, as well as being environmentally unfriendly.

Green Dragon Farm Grown Fuel can be traced back to the British fields in which it was grown. And because it is not imported, Green Dragon needs to travel less to get to you. In every way, Green Dragon Farm Grown Fuel is the low carbon option for your heating. We are dedicated to producing environmentally friendly and sustainable fuel to help you reduce your carbon footprint. It is our passion and our mission.

Green Dragon Farm Grown Fuel is a solid fuel made entirely out rapeseed husk. This is what remains of rapeseed after we’ve pressed out all of the oil. We add nothing to it, we take nothing away, and we use 100% of the seed leaving no waste. Green Dragon is completely natural, constantly renewable and a much greener alternative to wood, coal and other solid fuels.

Green Dragon Farm Grown Fuel is completely renewable. It is not mined or refined, it is grown each year in British soil. It is also 100% sustainable. From being sown in the field to being pressed, the lifecycle for Green Dragon Farm Grown Fuel is 12 months. Compare that to the 60 million or so years it takes to get coal to your fire!
